Monsoon is kind to the capital in the month of August. The clouds are raining heavily. The highest rainfall has been recorded in the month of August after 10 years. Till 28th August, 301.4 mm of rain has occurred, which is the highest after 2014. In the month of August 2014, 139.1 mm of rain was recorded. Also, for the first time after 2012, the maximum 24 days of rain has been recorded in this month. In 2012, rain was recorded for a total of 22 days. However, there are still two days left in this month. It is believed that this record too can be broken. In Safdarjung, the standard observatory of the Meteorological Department, only three days, 22 and 26 August, have been such when rain was not recorded.
